The Programme:

This programme is for those who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading behaviour and supporting pupil well-being.

The programme will support your understanding of the essential skills that underpin successful leadership of behaviour and culture and to develop expertise in high-quality teaching practices and behaviour management including dealing with more complex behavioural needs as well as working effectively with stakeholders.

This programme is for teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading behaviour and/or supporting pupil well-being in their school. For example, heads of year or roles with other pastoral responsibilities.

  • Enabling conditions for good behaviour
  • Complex behavioural needs

  • Seminars providing you with an opportunity for peer learning and the consolidation of learning within each of the content modules
  • Two face-to-face conferences to provide further opportunity for peer learning combined with expert input from specialist practitioners.

The DfE have announced that NPQ funding from Autumn 2024 will now be targeted to those teachers and leaders working in the most challenging schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities.

Therefore, funding to cover the full NPQ cost will only be available to teachers and leaders from the 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding. Comparative disadvantage measures will be applied for 16-19 educational settings.

There are a limited number of funded spaces available.

If your school is not eligible for DfE scholarship funding, the cost for the NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC) is £899.
