NPQH: Headship (including a new programme of support for newly appointed Headteachers)
All NPQs are taught through a blended balance of online individual learning, online seminars and face-to-face meetings and a simplified end-of-course assessment. There are two cohorts annually, starting in Autumn and Spring. The programme last 18 months.
You can find more information on the courses in our STSN NPQ Programmes brochure. Please make sure you read the brochure thoroughly before filling out the expression of interest form.
NPQH Funding explained. The DfE will fully fund participants who are either:
- Current or aspiring headteachers in PP30 schools
- Heads in post in their first 2 years in any state-funded school
Aspiring Heads not eligible to access funding can pay to do the programme.
Independent schools or individuals employed in these settings may apply and pay for this programme.
We would suggest all colleagues interested in the programmes complete the expression of interest form to receive the programme specific application without obligation. Colleagues can stop the application process once a decision has been made regarding the funding if they cannot proceed.
